Day 2 Subject: [firstname], Words are the key! Hi [firstname], What do you do when you want to look something up on the Internet? If you're like most people you probably go to one of the main search engines like Google, Yahoo! or Bing, type in a search term and go through the results. You probably do the same when you're looking for a video on YouTube – am I right? Have you ever given any thought to HOW these search engines know what you're looking for? The truth is: Search engines (and I'm including YouTube in this category for the moment) are just big databases. They take lots of factors into consideration when determining what to “file” websites and videos under, but one of the biggest is keywords. In fact, when the search engine “spiders” come to check out a site, the keywords are all they really look for. They don't care about fancy graphics or anything like that; all they care about is keywords. They then report back and tell the search engine what keywords to file the site or article under. That's why keywords are so important. If you have the wrong keywords, nobody will ever find your site, your guest post article or your video. There's more too it than that, though... You need to find keywords that have high demand (lots of people are searching for them) and low competition (not many other sites or videos are indexed for that keyword). As you can imagine, this can be a daunting task! One tool that can help you is the Google Adwords Keyword Planner – which you can access for free from https://adwords.google.com/keywordplanner . Whilst this is intended to help people decide what keywords to bid for on Google Adwords, it can be a very handy tool for choosing the right keywords to get your site indexed, too. If you want to delve deeper, Market Samurai [YOUR MARKET SAMURAI AFFILIATE LINK HERE] can give you more information about keywords. It's not free, but you can get a trial version.
